As a registered counselling psychotherapist, and clinical hypnotherapist, my clients usually contact me after struggling with issues for months or sometimes even years. It takes a lot of courage to seek help, as well as, find the right person you can feel comfortable and connected with. I realise that this is very important, because working as a Registered Nurse and Educator for over 35 years, I have seen a number of patients and clients who have needed caring and compassionate support.
I also work in collaboration with other health professionals as I believe in a holistic approach to care, so that you can achieve better health outcomes. This means that clients are referred to me by other professionals, such as General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Physical Therapists etc. Although I also see clients that call me without a referral.
I provide counselling for all ages, as well as couples. In addition, I undertake hypnotherapy for clients wanting to quit smoking, lose weight, find relief and discomfort from pain, phobias and many other issues. Building a trusting, genuine, therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my therapy, because everyone is unique, so providing the right level of support, requires patience and understanding, whilst gently working towards a positive way forward.
